Molar Volume of a Gas at STP

Molar Volume:

  • The volume occupied by one of a gas is called as molar volume.
  • One mole of any gas at STP will have a volume of 22.4 L.
  • S.T.P. = Standard Temperature and Pressure
  • Standard Temperature = 0oC or 273 K

Formula:
Molar Volume :  22.4 L of gas / 1 mol of gas

                                       OR

                       1 mol of gas / 22.4 L of gas
